The Alliance is a start-up organization seeking an entrepreneurial and energetic economic development professional with a strong marketing background to attract businesses to the Southwest Florida region, which includes the cities of Naples and Fort Myers. Position Responsibilities:
- Establishing a brand identity and driving awareness of the region as a place for business
- Collaborating closely with local economic development organizations (EDOs) to develop and execute a marketing plan focused on brand awareness and business recruitment
- Managing and monitoring lead dissemination to local EDOs
- Overseeing and marketing the regional web site as a tool for developing and fostering leads
- Maintaining member and community relations, including securing funding for marketing activities and programs
- Overseeing budget, operations, staff and outside vendor relationships
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in economics, marketing, public administration or a closely related field
- 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, sales, business development or economic development (economic development background strongly preferred)
- Self-starter with “roll up your sleeve” approach
