Established law firm in Tampa is seeking a paralegal with at least 10 years’ experience in complex business and real estate litigation to become an integral part of a small litigation department with a sophisticated practice. College degree and paralegal certification are preferred. The ideal candidate must be able to prioritize competing assignments from multiple attorneys. Candidate must have demonstrated experience in the following categories:

  • Draft routine or complex legal documents for review by attorneys.
  • Draft pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, interrogatories/answers, other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research as needed.
  • Ability to properly capture time and bill according to guidelines.
  • Coordinate an create large volume document productions.
  • Use 7-Zip to encrypt large volume document productions.
  • Use Outlook 2016 to open PST email productions an export email to PDF format.
  • Use file sharing programs to send large document productions.
  • Bates stamp document productions using Adobe Pro.
  • E-file in state, federal courts and interact professionally with court personnel, clients and opposing counsel.
  • Candidate will also be required to perform case management tasks independently within a coordinated litigation team. Team requirements including maintaining continuity and managing deadlines in assigned cases, training less experienced staff members and providing quality control assistance to litigation attorneys.

Candidate must also have excellent computer skills and be proficient using the following software:

  • Microsoft Office 2016.
  • Westlaw.
  • Drop Box.
  • 7-Zip.
  • Document Management Applications.
  • Adobe Pro.
  • Time and Billing Applications
