Growing law firm seeking a paralegal with 3+ years experience in civil litigation. You will represent clients in pre-litigation, litigation and post-judgment proceedings. The firm focuses on Property and Casualty Insurance prosecution, but other areas include contract disputes, consumer protections, and personal injury. Be prepared to draft pleadings, motions, and discovery. We will train the right candidate, so if you are not able to take direction, please do not apply.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Attorneys in representing clients in court or before government agencies
- Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of the firm, attorneys, and clients
- Conduct research to support legal proceedings
- Assist with drafting and reviewing legal documents
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with all legal standards and local, state, and federal regulations
- Perform administrative and managerial functions related to the practice of law
- Attend networking events for the firm

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in law
- Familiarity with various legal documents
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
OFFICE SETTING: The firm is committed to providing our clients the best representation at an affordable price. In order to keep costs efficient, only a virtual office and/or home office has been used. If you are unable/unwilling to work at a home office, please do not apply. The Firm will provide a laptop and software. Obviously, the laptop will remain our property, but you will use it for work purposes.
After 90 days of meaningful employment, vacation days will accrue at .5 a month. No other benefits at this time.
**Maximum compensation will only occur after successful completion of a 60 day trial period.
