Position description:
The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for the efficient operations of the physical property at Palma Ceia United Methodist Church and Day School, ensuring a safe, attractive and usable facility.
Reports To: Pastor
Type: Full-time or Part-time, Hourly
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the physical facilities
- Provide supervision of maintenance, custodial, and grounds vendors
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance
- Perform light custodial tasks as needed
- Perform physical labor such as room set-ups, assembling and movement of furniture, lifting of equipment, and other projects
- Attend staff meetings to stay aware of facility needs
Hours: Monday through Friday, available to open the facilities for our Day School at 6:45 am.
Rate: $14 to $17 per hour, benefits eligible
Key Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Three years of facilities experience (preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and meet the physical demands of the position
- General skills in property maintenance
- A willingness to work within church policies
