Location: St. Petersburg, FL

Function / Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Events and Move Supervisor, completes events and moves, signage, and roof maintenance activities. This position assists with event set up, move requests, Roof Corrective, Preventive and signage replacement activities. Complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner, and meet all customer expectations. Respond to emergency requests, complete Preventive and corrective work requests repairs through to completion.

Essential functions of the position

  • Assist the Events and Move Supervisor in preparation and recommend required materials in the preparation of the annual capital budget
  • Maintain shop work areas in a safe, clean operating condition and apply good housekeeping practices throughout the campus at all times. Report any unsafe campus conditions and take appropriate action as required to resolve noted problems
  • Monitor the quality of installation and set up for all events and moves to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate notes and time keeping on all assigned work orders. Receives work requests, prioritize and completes jobs as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, building codes and safety requirements
  • Assist the Events and Move Supervisor in controlling event and moves related cost in accordance with budgeted requirements. Maintain appropriate documentation, records and reports
  • Conduct regular scheduled routine inspections of campus buildings and assets. Report all results of inspections to the Events and Move Supervisor
  • Conduct ongoing quality assurance evaluations to assure that all tasks are completed correctly the first time and the meet customers’ expectations
  • Completes all assigned Preventive and Corrective Maintenance work requests
  • Make recommendations for changes and improvements in work process and procedures
  • Maintain proper security procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support C&W Services Facility Service in delivering services to our client

Basic Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalency. Completed an accredited apprentice program and /or graduated from a trade’s school a plus. Must be willing to continue training in skill sets to maintain and enhance knowledge in the latest equipment and technologies.

Experience:

  • Have familiarity with building systems in educational facilities or other facilities of similar size and scope
  • Must have strong multi-skill set knowledge (Event set-up, equipment and furniture installation, signage, roofing, building systems)
  • Have the ability and willingness to work rotational shift, including days, evenings, nights as well as overtime, weekends and holidays as required

Other:

  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong Computer knowledge (Microsoft suite, Archibus)
  • Possess a valid state drivers license
  • Able to operate golf carts and other motor vehicles
  • Understanding the importance of priority of work tasks
