Silver Tree Residential has an immediate opening for a Facilities Technician at our 85-unit SENIOR community located in Tampa, FL. Silvertree Seniors Apartments is an owner-managed community for 55+ seniors. The Facilities Tech reports directly to the Facilities Director and the Community Director. All facilities technicians must have the physical capability to walk all around the property (including stairs), lift heavy items, and otherwise perform a variety of physical tasks.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Working with Community Director and Facilities Director in managing all maintenance-related and capital improvement activities within an assigned property.
- Inspecting, scheduling and performing routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as necessary or as directed by the Director(s).
- Capable of dealing effectively with supervisors, residents, vendors and co-workers.
- Satisfying work orders promptly and efficiently.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems and various appliances, stoves, dishwashers, disposals, and refrigerators. Some familiarity with electricity, plumbing, and carpentry is required.
- Assist in the make ready process of vacant apartments to get them ready for new move-ins in a timely and detail oriented manner.
- Capable of dealing effectively with employees, residents, vendors and co-workers.
- Prior property maintenance experience is preferred.
- Must have his/ her own tools.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and dependable transportation.
- Must be able to pass background check, drug screening and physical assessment.
Qualifications and Skills
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years property maintenance or relevant experience. Bilinual in Spanish is preferred, but not required. It is essential that the Facilities Technician report to work at his/her regularly scheduled work hours, be available for on-call rotation, have his/her own tools and be very customer service oriented.
