Job Title: Financial Analyst

Reports to: Financial Analyst and Land Closing Coordinator

Division/Department: Kolter Land

Location: Tampa, FL

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide financial analysis and due diligence to assist underwriting potential land/project acquisition and create management reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Create and maintain financial models in Excel
  • Develop and maintain acquisition proformas and forecasts
  • Prepare actual vs budget analyses
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as requested by management.
  • Prepare feasibility studies for acquisitions
  • Perform real estate market analyses
  • Perform due diligence on acquisitions review

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have financial modeling experience, (not required but helpful) real estate acquisition experience and experience assisting in due diligence. Must have excellent Excel skills, proficiency using various software systems, and strong organizational skills. The ability to work on multiple projects and to prioritize tasks will be critical to the success in this role.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Candidate will have a four-year degree in Business Accounting or Finance (but not required) and, ideally, 2 years real estate finance and acquisition experience. Must be proficient in Excel and general computer skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations in a dynamic work environment with multiple priorities. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

COMPENSATION:

Compensation will be $30 – $40K (dependent on experience) plus bonus. Eligible for benefits package and 401(k) plan after one month of employment. Two weeks paid vacation annually dependent on tenure.
