Job Description
- Prepare detailed financial analysis for investments in multiple real estate asset classes with an initial focus of multifamily.
- Upgrade complex financial models and improve upon existing templates.
- Assemble investment packages and proposals of all types.
- Analyze historical property income and expenses as well as current market conditions in order to determine financial underwriting assumptions.
- Coordinate and collect market research and data to determine appropriate rents, expenses and vacancy assumptions for new underwriting.
- Act as a liaison for development of web based software packaging systems.
- Update and maintain internal database.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- 2-5 years of experience in real estate investments and valuation.
- Experience in cash flow forecasting, financial analysis, and real estate pro forma modeling.
- Fluent with basic real estate concepts for all major property types, strong grasp of financial terms and principles necessary in real estate underwriting (IRR, NPV, Return on Equity, etc.)
- Working knowledge of capital markets.
- Ability to take direction but work independently or as part of a team.
- Proactive thinker with a detail oriented approach to problem solving.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment.
- Desire for a long-term position.
EDUCATIONAL/TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field required.
- Advanced Excel skills required along with overall proficiency in MSOffice suite and related software.
- Argus experience is preferred.
