Job Description

  • Prepare detailed financial analysis for investments in multiple real estate asset classes with an initial focus of multifamily.
  • Upgrade complex financial models and improve upon existing templates.
  • Assemble investment packages and proposals of all types.
  • Analyze historical property income and expenses as well as current market conditions in order to determine financial underwriting assumptions.
  • Coordinate and collect market research and data to determine appropriate rents, expenses and vacancy assumptions for new underwriting.
  • Act as a liaison for development of web based software packaging systems.
  • Update and maintain internal database.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • 2-5 years of experience in real estate investments and valuation.
  • Experience in cash flow forecasting, financial analysis, and real estate pro forma modeling.
  • Fluent with basic real estate concepts for all major property types, strong grasp of financial terms and principles necessary in real estate underwriting (IRR, NPV, Return on Equity, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of capital markets.
  • Ability to take direction but work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proactive thinker with a detail oriented approach to problem solving.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Desire for a long-term position.

EDUCATIONAL/TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field required.
  • Advanced Excel skills required along with overall proficiency in MSOffice suite and related software.
  • Argus experience is preferred.
