The successful candidate will:
- Manage the civil engineering team for our Florida offices
- Promote technical staff development and staff recruitment, including support for strategic recruitment
- Establish and maintain civil engineering business development in Florida and seek to grow pipeline for the future of the business
- Participate in the development and maintenance of client relationships in Florida, working in concert with Area Managers, Technical Excellence Center (TEC) Managers, and other regional staff
- Oversee project delivery and quality assurance/quality control in accordance with the Business Management Systems, ensuring cost, schedule and quality objectives are met
- Manage the allocation of civil engineering resources towards pursuit and proposal production, management, and delivery working in concert with Business Development staff and Area Managers
- Oversee the administrative functions in support of the Civil TEC staff in Florida
- Participate in Community, Civic and Client related out of office events
Education / Experience Required:
- The ideal candidate must have excellent communication and technical skills
- Must have a minimum of 15 years of civil engineering experience (with emphasis on roadway projects) with recent/relevant managerial experience.
- Experience managing and delivering projects in an alternative delivery (e.g. design-build, PPP) environment is desired
- The successful candidate must have at least a BS – Civil Engineering degree
- The successful candidate must be a Professional Engineer (PE)
- The ideal candidate must possess great leadership characteristics with the ability to lead and grow a regional team as well as the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with the Area Managers and other TEC leads
- The ability to work in this country immediately is required for this position
