Carteret Management

Carteret Management Corporation is seeking a FLOATING MANAGER to support operations across a portfolio of apartment communities via assignment to special projects (i.e. lease ups, renewal season, absent manager) and general administrative tasks, in accordance with the Company’s values of communication, customer service and competency. The position offers full-time employment at a competitive salary with a strong benefit package (including health, dental, vision, and ancillary insurance options, 401k, and paid vacation + personal time).

Portfolio:

  • Primarily West Coast, with some Central Florida sites
  • Affordable properties (HUD, LIHTC, HOME, Bond, SAIL)

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Resident Relations: Maintain a positive, customer service-oriented approach to management with a goal of meeting resident and community needs.
  • Operations: Under direction of Senior Regional Manager, assist corporate team in attending to portfolio needs, including deployment to on-site roles during staff shortages or transition.
  • Compliance: The portfolio is comprised of several affordable housing communities. The role requires experience with the relevant programs that can translate to hand-on effectiveness for on-site projects: lease ups, renewal seasons, audit prep, and filling in for on-site managers during absences. The Floating Manager will ensure that strictest compliance is maintained with all programmatic standards, as well as promoting good management practices and customer service.
  • Administrative: maximize usage of RealPage’s OneSite software for operating efficiency.

 

A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in the multifamily housing industry; experience with affordable programs required.
  • This is a LIHTC & HUD portfolio; the Floating Manager has direct involvement with tenant files and will be required to achieve an industry certification indicating expertise within the first year of employment (i.e. TCS, C3P, HCCP, SCHM, etc.).
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and RealPage OneSite
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with various groups (on-site staff, vendors, corporate team, residents).
