CAS position duties:
- Maintain and reconcile clients’ accounting in QuickBooks Desktop/ QBO and Accounting Creative Solutions
- Client write-up and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
- Work with multiple clients
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of client’s the financial reporting and general ledger structure
- Expected to work with clients to make appropriate changes to client’s books
- Prepare Monthly/Quarterly/Annual sales tax return multi state returns
- Process client payroll, including annual and quarterly payroll tax returns
- Prepare vendor 1099-Misc at year end
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial and non-financial reports
- Occasionally cover for the Accounts Payable roles
- Handle fixed asset and capital project tracking
- Prepares and Post journal entries and other month-end close processes
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Collaborate with the other department managers and executive management to support overall Company goals and objectives
Qualifications
- Associate degree in accounting or related field, preferred
- 3+ years of experience in a bookkeeping role
- Experience Microsoft Office applications
- Proven ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
- Able to manage workflow and meet deadlines and work efficiently under tight deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- 3+ years of QuickBooks online and QuickBooks Desktop experience preferred
- Thompson Reuter Accounting Creative Solution software
- CCH ProSystem Fixed Assets software
- Detail-oriented
- Must be comfortable meeting tight deadlines
- Previous experience as a full charge bookkeeper in a CPA firm
