Full Job Description

Summary

Stable and growing marketing services company hiring a Bookkeeper/Office Manager to perform accounting services and general office management support for our company based in Tampa Palms. The primary responsibilities of the position include the following:

  • Performs daily Quickbook entries – AP & AR
  • Assists in month-end closing activities and procedures
  • Handles all aspects of accounts payable and cash application functions
  • Handles all accounts receivables processing
  • Reconciles bank accounts
  • Orders supplies
  • Calculates commissions
  • Interacts with sales to determine customer balances and order information
  • Assists with handling special projects as needed
  • General office responsibilities – answering phones, getting mail, etc.

Qualifications:

A successful applicant will have the following:

  • 3+ years in general accounting related work
  • Strong proficiency with Quickbooks
  • Strong references
  • Reliable work history
  • Dependable
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
  • Detail oriented
  • Offer periodic support for reception/front office duties

Required education:

  • Associate’s Degree

Required experience:

  • Accounting: 3+ years
  • Prepare financial statements and reports
  • Pay bills and maintain ledgers
  • Assist accountants with tax return preparation
  • Code payables
  • Conduct invoice activities and pay vendors
  • Provide inventory support, including maintaining office materials and supplies
  • Transmit purchase orders directly to vendors for purchases
  • Prepare payroll for submission to payroll company
  • Generate 1099’s
  • Proficient in the use of computers and related software such as MS Word, MS Excel, etc.
  • Full background check/drug test required.
