Jack and Jill Residential Services is a blossoming Handyman service company serving the Tampa Bay area. We are looking to add two (2) field technicians to accommodate our growing demand. We currently serve the Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas and Hillsborough counties. We are looking for a reliable Handyman with technical knowledge and must be well-organized with strong general repair skills. A keen eye for detail and physical stamina are valued greatly in this job. Applicant must provide own reliable transportation and tools. All applicants must have a general understanding of typical maintenance issues of residential homes. Applicants must also have prior experience in hanging cabinetry, installing countertops, laying tile and bathroom remodeling as we are adding another area of expertise to our company. Proof of past employers will be verified as well as a back ground check completed. Those who will be hired must present themselves in a professional manner at all times and arrive on time to all scheduled appointments. This individual must have the ability to up-sale on site and when opportunity presents itself.
- Responsibilities
- Must clean, sweep or dust after every job
- Perform maintenance and light repairs
- Perform occasional landscaping on the grounds
- Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls and ceilings)
- Perform texturing application of various small jobs
- Undertake light installation to moderate tiling jobs
- Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs
- Identify and report the need for major repairs
- Document finding as well as take before and after photos
- Skills
- Proven experience as handyman
- Professional
- Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems
- Basic math skills
- Good communication ability
- Well-organized and good in problem-solving
- Attention to detail
- High school diploma or equivalent
- lift over 80 pounds on occasion
- paint with an above average skill level
- be able to cut baseboards a toe moulding with accuracy
- be able to work outdoors in inclement conditions
- be able accurately and with proficiency use tape measures, levels on job sites
- have a good and clean driving record
- Use a chaulking gun
- Ability to work in tight places
- be able to use smart phone and computers
- be free from alcohol or drug abuse
