Player/coach responsible for overall market performance with support from Central Office. Including setting and evaluating home & market buy box, ongoing market condition monitoring/feedback valuation/home condition coordination with central office, home make-ready management (scopes of work, bids, setting appropriate spec levels, conditions, timelines and vendors), home listing/sale management, local RE agent coordination and overall ROI of homes.

About the role

Zillow is seeking a General Manager who will own all in-market issues that arise from buying, selling and
renovating homes including on the ground support to homebuyers and sellers. You will launch and
handle the market to lead the renovation team, Assistant GM and interact with market analysts and
customer service agents while coordinating with centralized teams (underwriting, transactions,
renovations, etc.) to optimize market performance.
You will:
• Own overall market performance and P&L responsibilities with key performance indicators of
property level margin, renovation turn times, actuals vs. underwriting for purchase sale price
and renovation costs and timelines.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of issues that occur with buying, renovating and selling single
family homes
• Manage multiple levels of direct reports and work closely with centralized support teams
• Set and evaluate home & market buy box, ongoing market condition monitoring, feedback
valuation, home condition coordination with central office and home make-ready management
(scopes of work, bids, setting appropriate spec levels, conditions, timelines and vendors)
• Handle home listing and sale management, local RE agent coordination and overall return on
investment of homes

Who you are

Investment acumen You have knowledge of key drivers of profitability when flipping homes
• Local Market Knowledge You know the intricacies of the market- where to buy, where not to
buy, seasonality, and general market nuances including brokerage environment
• You have general knowledge of renovating a home and pitfalls to avoid
• You have excellent organizational and impeccable communication skills both written and verbal
• You exhibit the core tenets of being an effective leader
• Real Estate license preferred
