Job description:  The graphic designer will work as part of the  marketing team, which provides tailored advertising and marketing for programs using online and traditional marketing strategies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Create exceptional design concepts and execution for varied marketing campaigns for both print and digital media, including but not limited to brand conception, brochures, sell sheets, online and print ads, banners and trade show materials, and email marketing campaigns.
  • Create design concepts that are consistent with the brand strategy and communications goals of our university clients.
  • Refine and develop all aspects of chosen design concepts.
  • Ensure integrity of design, accuracy, and quality of final deliverables.
  • Work with printers: write specifications, quote specs, file preparation for press, color proof, and approve quality of press checks.
  • Assist team members with other projects as needed.

Skills and experience required:

  • 2 years professional experience minimum.
  • High levels of proficiency with the latest design tools including Adobe Creative Suite and HTML coding. Extremely high proficiency in Illustrator and InDesign.  Knowledge of After Effects a plus.
  • Understanding of, and experience in, branding, layout, color theory, and typography in both print and digital media.
  • Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into clear and compelling visual solutions.
  • Strong conceptual and creative thinking skills, as well as exceptional technical skills.
  • Ability to understand target audience and adjust design concepts to suit, while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Demonstrable ability to show a variety of graphic styles across the creation process.
  • Marketing, advertising, design and/or corporate brand building experience are a plus.
  • Must have an online portfolio to review.
