Groundskeeper/Porter
We are hiring a groundskeeper to join our maintenance team. You will inspect different areas of the property and perform any basic repairs, cleanings, or preventative maintenance when required. To do well in this role you should have previous experience in groundskeeping and have knowledge in areas including plumbing, carpentry, basic electrical work, painting, pressure washing, pool maintenance, etc.
Groundskeeper/Porter Responsibilities:
- Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
- Clean property grounds every morning including common areas and breezeways.
- Performing preventative maintenance.
- Handling basic, minor repairs, maintenance, and cleaning.
- Assisting onsite contractors as necessary
- Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
Groundskeeper/Porter Requirements:
- Proven maintenance experience.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Experience pressure washing
- Ability to clean common areas on the grounds
- Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches
Groundskeeper/Porter Preferred:
- Experience in plumbing
- Experience in carpentry
- Basic electrical work experience
- Experience painting
- Pool maintenance experience
- Experience performing routine maintenance.
- Strong organizational and follow up skills.
- Eye for detail.
- Professional presentation and attitude.
- Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
- Strong time management skills.
Schedule will begin as Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Starting pay is $12/hr.
Would prefer Tuesday through Saturday schedule after one month on the job. At least some flexibility for 2 Saturdays per month.
