Lantower Luxury Living is currently hiring for Groundskeeper/Porter to support the maintenance and facilities management for Lantower Asturia, a Class A apartment community in Odessa. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on and helping customers.
Groundskeeper/Porter Responsibilities:
- Cleans the leasing office, clubhouse and common-areas including restrooms, the model(s), amenities, paw-spa, pool/BBQ areas, pet-pick-up areas, and vacant apartment homes daily or as directed by the appropriate supervisor.
- Ensures all vacant apartment homes and targeted show units are freshened throughout the day to maintain market-ready appeal.
- Assists in the make-ready process by performing additional duties requested by Maintenance Supervisor, Community Manager and/or Assistant Manager.
- Informs appropriate supervisor of any observed hazard or potentially dangerous situation to residents, team members, guests, and others. Including property monitoring for lawn care, snow removal and ice removal.
- Maintains an appropriate inventory of cleaning supplies and informs the appropriate supervisor when a re-order is necessary for cleaning supplies and other needed parts/supplies.
- Display a friendly and courteous attitude towards residents and other employees.
- Inspect the exterior of the property daily. Perform building and common-areas upkeep daily.
- Comply with company safety standards, OSHA and Fair Housing regulations.
- Assist as needed with monthly and quarterly maintenance inspections and projects.
- Special projects: Power washing, community engagement events, and other reasonable duties.
Groundskeeper/Porter Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Ambition.
- Preferred 2+ years of related housekeeping or maintenance experience and/or training.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work well with others.
- Strong knowledge and skill in the safe use of various cleaning chemicals, including some that may require pre-mixing.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. for trash removal and cleaning equipment purposes. Able to kneel, crouch, climb, and crawl to assist with repairs.
- Strong knowledge and skill in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools and measuring devices.
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends.
