We are seeking an experienced Groundskeeper/Porter for an apartment community in Pinellas Park, FL. In this position, the Groundskeeper-Porter is responsible for maintaining the clean and neat appearance of all assigned areas. Above all else, the spirit of teamwork and cooperation with other team members will not only improve the job you do, but enhance the entire work experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other common areas.
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.
- Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
- Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
- Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
- Remove debris from common areas
- Observe all State, Federal and Company safety standards/precautions while performing task in order to maintain a safe work environment.
- Observe precautions required to protect Residents, guests and property, and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.

- Properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.
- Assist the management and leasing team with occasionally detailing model units, putting out balloons, bandit signs, banners, and delivering resident notices, etc.
Qualifications for this Position
- 2 years of Groundskeeper experience
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk and climb stairs, climb ladders, crawl in small and tight spaces; stoop and/or kneel; lift and/or move and/or carry up to 20 pounds or more in the work environment.
- Occasional exposure to the outdoor climate and weather conditions.
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products and procedures.
