Job Title: Harbormaster Division: All Sites Department: Marina Reports To: General Manager or Executive Manager based on location if no General Manager FLSA Status: Exempt Summary: Responsible for the management of the day to day operations of state of the art marina facility being carried out efficiently and safely in accordance with all applicable laws and permits, including the site, Marina Staff, equipment, and all facilities that support the marina operations. Provides information and assistance to different departments and ensures highest level of service is being given to members and guests by performing the following duties. Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages one to two subordinate supervisors depending on location who supervise a total of five employees in the Marina/Ships Store Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises five non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
