Full Job Description
Upcoming wedding venue looking for full time help on beautiful, gated 18-acre property.
We are looking for a detailed oriented person who can ensure that the property always looks manicured and presentable.
Must be a good problem solver with the ability to research the various needs of the different plants currently on the property and ones we will put in for the future.
Duties will include:
Daily Gardening
– planting, weeding, mulching, watering, pruning, deadheading, cleanup, etc
Landscape Design
– Must have knowledge of the basic principles of landscape design.
– Good knowledge of what plants look and work well together.
– Will be in charge of designing seasonal planters and urns.
Cut Flower Garden
– Will be in charge of ensuring the efficiency and productivity of the cut flower garden.
– Will need to harvest cut flowers for wedding floral designs.
– Cleaning and organization of the floral studio and supplies.
Pasture Management
– Must be able to operate a tractor and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
– Weed control
– reseeding and fertilization
– pest control
– fence maintenance
Other important requirements
Must be able to lift a minimum of 40lbs unassisted.
Must have reliable transportation.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
Must be comfortable around large animals and dogs
This is a Non-smoking location
Hours 9:30 am – 5:30 pm (weather could affect this)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
