We are looking for an entry level HR Assistant with a great work ethic and a positive attitude!
JOB SUMMARY: Provide administrative and recruiting support to the HR Manager. Responsible for employee questions, administering tests, scheduling appointments, conducting orientation, maintaining records/information, and payroll processing as needed.
EDUCATION: A.A. degree in Business Management or related field preferred
EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years’ experience with recruiting preferred
ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
- Act as the liaison between HR manager and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution
- Provide support to daily HR activities and assist in coordinating HR policies, processes and relevant documents
- Responsible for managing the recruitment and selection process
- Scheduling interviews
- Administering pre-employment tests
- Conducting orientation for new employees
- Maintain employee information, reviews, job descriptions, and department records
- Provides HR administrative support where needed
- Assist with employee disputes and disciplinary actions within employment law
- Responsible for payroll processing as needed
- Mandatory participation in annual inventory
- Other duties and projects as assigned
MENTAL & PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Able to sit for extended periods of time
- Able to lift up to 35lbs
- Near visual acuity and accommodation required for computer operation
- Ability to communicate on current telephone system
- Office environment, i.e. moderate noise levels. No physical hazards identified
- Vision requirements include reading written documents and using a computer monitor screen frequently.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
- Ability to show initiative with a high level of energy
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with team members, vendors, and customers
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Working knowledge of basic computer programs
- Ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to oversee, lead and train staff
- Decision making skills; Ability to handle difficult and confidential matters effectively and professionally focusing on what is in the best interests of the company
