HR ASSISTANT

Property Management company in downtown Tampa seeking to hire an HR Assistant.

We are a growing organization needing someone who is organized, detail-oriented with a high work ethic, and who has the ability to maintain confidentiality. HR Assistant will report directly to the HR Manager.

Job Duties:

1. Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties

2. Provide administrative and clerical support to HR Manager

3. Organize, compile and update company personnel records and documentation

4. Assist recruitment of potential applicants based on experience, skills and education including posting job ads and scheduling interviews

5. Administrative tasks such as performing background checks, filing paperwork, completing employee documentation

6. Help organize and manage new employee orientation, on-boarding and training programs

7. Assist in explaining and providing information on employee benefits, programs and education

8. Help in payroll preparation when needed

9. Ensue accurate tracking of vacation and personal time in system

10. Answer employee HR-related questions

11. Maintain computer system by updating and entering data

12. Compiling reports and spreadsheets and maintaining existing spreadsheets

13. Participate in activities to increase employee morale include team building, etc.

14. Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

1. Associate’s Degree in Human Resources or related field

2. 1-2 years of experience in Human Resources environment

3. Knowledge of industry (preferred)

4. Excellent computer skills, knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Excel, database management and record keeping

5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

6. Must be detail oriented

7. Organized and efficient on daily tasks

8. Knowledge of employment law, compensation, organizational planning and employee relations preferred

9. Ability to maintain confidentiality at the highest level

10. Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills
