Description: MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of St. Vincent de Paul CARES is to alleviate pain and suffering, in a spirit of justice and charity, through person-to-person involvement.
SUMMARY: The Human Resources Coordinator will assist candidates through the hiring process and be the primary source of contact with candidates and Operations Managers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (These essential job functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties performed. - Posting positions by working with executive staff and managers
- Establish relationships with organizations, such as schools, vocational institutions, etc.
- maintain internship program with local schools and institutions
- Attract applicants through social media, job boards, websites, etc.
- Maintain job descriptions and print ID badges for staff
- Enter and maintain recruiting and employee on-boarding software
- Update employee database software with new, closed, open, and close job posting when position is filled
- Track job applicant progress in employee software through complete hiring process
- Ensuring managers are interviewing for open positions and working with Chief of HR related to hiring plan and obstacles
- Track and document candidate interview grading and evaluation, and update Organization chart through the use of Visio
- Verify job candidate references
- Arrange management interviews by coordinating schedules
- Arrange travel and lodging for job applicants
- Improve Agency attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices
- Maintain knowledge of the latest trends in attracting and recruiting staff
- Prepare and advertise open job positions
- Set up appointments for candidates for fingerprints, drug screens and TB Testing-Attention to detail is essential to success
- Strong interview & presentation skills
- Ability to evaluate and research recruiting options and alternatives
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software
- Maintain all personnel files in compliance with applicable legal standards and according to accreditation standards
and agency policy
- Back up to Process bi-weekly payroll utilizing payroll software
- Back up to Process all new employees and all change-of-status forms
- Must maintain confidentiality at all times
- Coordinate performance management system
Assist Chief of HR as requested
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Comply with all applicable training requirements
- Comply with all company safety, personnel and operational policies and procedures
- Comply with work schedule to ensure effective operations of Agency programs
- Contributes positively as a member of a productive and cooperative team
- Performs other duties as necessary to fulfill the St. Vincent de Paul CARES Mission

. Requirements: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: (Pending on position and if prior to hire is approved by Chief Executive Officer, a comparable amount of training, education or experience may be substituted for the minimum education qualifications)
- Associates degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- 1 year Administrative experience required
- SHRM-CP preferred
GENERAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Working in an office/site requires prolonged sitting at the computer workstation; standing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 20 lbs. and some driving. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, telephones, and other office equipment. It is also required to regularly sit, speak, and listen, the employee is also required to walk, use hands and fingers to type, operate equipment, and maintain records and notes. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
MENTAL DEMANDS: Must handle new and diverse work problems on a daily basis. Personal maturity is an important attribute. Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure. Must have the ability to listen objectively to people, perceive the real problem and assist in bringing issues to a successful conclusion. Must relate and interact with, volunteers, clients, contractors, visitors and employees at all levels within the Agency.
