Job Description Summary

• The HR Generalist is responsible for partnering with the business on a variety of HR initiatives that will engage and grow talent, build employee loyalty, and drive our people strategy through operational effectiveness.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Support HR initiatives and projects
  • Implement HR programs and guide employees and managers within assigned businesses
  • Analyze data and metrics in order to inform strategic business planning, providing both tactical and strategic support
  • Coach managers, create and execute on talent initiatives
  • Collaborates with regional and national HR teams to implement policy updates, process improvements, streamline onboarding practices and provide improved training programs.
  • Analyzes and resolves complex employee relations issues
  • Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations and recommends action plans
  • Make recommendations to improve operational efficiency

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or other related field
  • Minimum 3 years HR Generalist experience with diverse employee population and strong employee relations experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, including Excel.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail.
  • Reliable knowledge of State and Federal employment law
  • Experience in real estate, financial or professional services a plus

  • Superior relationship-building skills and ability to collaborate across HR and across the firm.
  • HRIS proficiency (Workday highly preferred)
  • Coaching and dispute resolution skills
  • Serve as role model for C&W’s culture
  • Facilitation skills to execute training
  • Pro-active and service-oriented approach
