Empath Health is a nonprofit integrated network of care that provides expert, life-changing health care to those with chronic and advanced illnesses. Empath Health includes hospice, palliative home health and physician services, independent living assistance and day care for seniors, HIV services and advance care planning.
We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated HR Specialist to join our team. The HR Specialist provides high level administrative support to the VP of Operations and Human Resources and also provides administrative support to the Human Resources department to assist with the daily functioning of those teams.
Knowledge of Benefits, HRIS and Compensation is strongly preferred. This is an excellent opportunity for a HR professional to grow their career in the healthcare field. • Education and/or Experience – Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong attention to detail; highly organized
• Prior experience in human resources specifically Benefits, HRIS and Compensation strongly preferred
• Extensive experience in spreadsheet and database software preferred.
• Flexibility, ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Professionalism, respect for confidentiality and ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
• Support and identify with the organization’s philosophy and objectives.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in stressful situations at the same time.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to interact with all departments in a professional and cheerful manner.
• Good interpersonal skills with strong focus on customer service.
