Gerdau is currently seeking a HRIS Administrator II for our Tampa, FL location.

The human resource information system (HRIS) administrator will be the point of entry for all data entry for Personnel Administration (PA) and Organizational Management (OM) data and primary point of contact for corporate office employees and human resource field employees in North America with questions and issues related to the PA & OM within HRIS. The incumbent will have a clear and thorough understanding of employee information, processes and policies and a strong customer service focus.

This job will be responsible for supporting operations with questions regarding data, form completion, reporting, and documentation for all human resource personnel, employees with questions regarding self-service, and other operations with data reporting needs.

This position reports directly to the HRIS Supervisor. The incumbent will coordinate HRIS activities with human resource personnel.

Responsibilities:

The HRIS Administrator II will be responsible for the overall integrity of the data in the HRIS system. The administrator will be a subject expert for human resource personnel who serve as local HRIS administrators as well as employees for the self-service functionality of the HRIS system.

Working with multiple departments, this job is responsible for entering and auditing all data for the US and back up to CA operations. Working with multiple departments, this job is responsible for designing, generating and altering reports to support business operations. As system changes are needed to accommodate acquisitions, new legislation, program changes, or system needs, the job will need to work closely with payroll, information services, general accounting, and other departments to assure smooth transitions.

A key responsibility of this job is to keep abreast of new human resource policies that may affect HRIS system reports and data maintenance. This includes a thorough understanding of company policies, union contracts, and department procedures.
The administrator will assist in the review, testing and implementation of system enhancements and upgrades as well as documenting system enhancements and providing to other users. System enhancements and upgrades affect many other modules within SAP as well as outside applications interfacing with SAP across the company such as benefits, finance, procurement application (SRM) and recruiting applications.

Qualifications include:

  • 5 to 7 years of current HRIS experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor Degree from an Accredited University preferred
  • Outstanding proficiency in office productivity software (Power Point, Excel, and Word)
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • HRIS experience, preferably in Ceridian and or SAP
  • Ability to work with all levels within the organization
  • Must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Proven analytical and research skills with a demonstrated ability to identify problems and systematically gather data, identify root causes and address data integrity issues.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects effectively
