The HR Assistant must possess good organizational skills and possess the ability to handle information in a confidential manner. This person is a professional with the ability to establish good working relationships with varying personalities. We are looking for an HR assistant to undertake a variety of HR administrative duties. The HR assistant duties involve a wide range of support activities inside our HR department, from coordinating meetings to maintaining our employee database to posting job ads and pre-screening candidates. An important part of your role will be to act as the liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions. You’ll assist in creating policies, processes and documents. Recruits and pre-screens the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Conducts background checks and employee eligibility verification.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
Provides clerical support to the HR department.
Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors.
Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events.
Performs other duties as assigned.
