Job Summary
We are currently seeking a dynamic team player who is eager to engage, learn, and utilize their HR skills. Duties include:
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist with recruitment for Compex locations including candidate sourcing; and phone screens;
- Process employee paperwork by confirming data accuracy, gathering approvals, and entering data in HRIS;
- Perform new employee on-boarding tasks;
- Administer worker’s compensation program;
- Monitor OSHA compliance and update logs;
- Administer leaves of absence including FMLA;
- Assist with employee event planning and presentation;
- Assist with development, implementation and presentation of new employee orientation
- Other duties as assigned
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources Management or like field strongly preferred
- 2 – 3 years Human Resources experience
- Familiarity with employment laws, regulations, and practices
- Strong English language communication skills including reading, speaking, writing
- Working Knowledge of ADP system (Workforce Now) preferred, not required
- Intermediate/advanced skills in Excel, Work, Powerpoint
- Experience working for a multi-state employer a plus
- Ability to work well independently
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to build strong relationships with employees, management and vendors
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests
