Human Resources Generalist position available with the Tampa Bay Lightning. This position provides Payroll and Recruiting support for the Human Resources Department.
Talent Management • Support staffing process, working with managers to identify staffing needs & assist in job description updates • Administer new hire process to include thorough reference checking and background screening. • Prepare detailed reports related to staffing and retention including identification and analysis of trends. • Conduct a comprehensive exit review process for all arena staff and report results to management
Personnel Administration • HRIS management including implementation of manager and staff self-service concepts • File maintenance and management of legally compliant records retention program
Compensation and Benefits Administration • Payroll Administration for all business and hockey operations including player payroll. • Conduct compensation surveys and market analysis for all arena operations and guest services positions • Process Bi-Weekly transfer of payroll data to external payroll administrator • Compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, sick time, commissions, bonus, expenses • Process maintenance, Time and Attendance through ABI Mastermind • Work with department supervisors to process part time staff payroll • Input pay adjustments, calculate Retro pay, state taxes, per diem • Assist employees with payroll related questions, requests, “Employee Self Service Portal”, ABI
Minimum Qualifications • Associate’s degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or one or more years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience • Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws is a must • 3-5 years experience as an HR Generalist and/or Payroll Coordinator • Proficiency in HRIS Systems and Microsoft Word, Intermediate to advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Clear written and verbal communications • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail • Work well in a team environment • Able to maintain confidential information
