Harvard Pacific in Tampa is seeking a full-time accountant/property accountant for its growing commercial real estate private equity management firm.

 

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting and have 3-5 years of commercial real estate and advanced accounting experience in fixed assets, reconciliations, real estate related accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, with knowledge of Yardi Voyager or similar accounting software. He or she will have the ability to prepare and analyze detailed schedules and supporting information, and communicate clerical and complex technical ideas effectively. Daily tasks will include recording ledger entries involving acquisitions and dispositions, maintaining depreciation and fixed asset schedules, reconciling internal accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and analyzing accounting records as management requests. He or she will be current in his or her knowledge of accounting standards and procedures, be able to assess their effect on the firm’s operations, and may be requested to make recommendations to management to ensure that the firm’s operations remain in compliance. The ideal candidate must also be able to establish and maintain productive intra-office relationships to effectively manage shifting priorities and requirements.

 

A combination of education equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting can be substituted in lieu of the preferred Bachelor’s degree.
