Our firm is currently seeking an In-House Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and reports for firm leadership.
- Prepare and file quarterly/annual tax returns and ensure compliance with all federal and state tax regulations.
- Manage trust accounting (IOLTA) and client funds in compliance with Florida Bar regulations.
- Handle tax compliance and financial forecasting/strategizing.
- Work closely with management to optimize billing processes and financial efficiency.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and regulatory agencies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or prior IRS experience preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, trust accounting, tax preparation, and financial reporting.
- Experience with tax compliance and financial analysis.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Remote within the United States. Preference for Florida residents.
