The Inside Sales Consultant supports the sales team’s growth and objectives. Duties include performing outbound follow-up phone calls on small prospects and member/attendee lists, closing sales within defined parameters, quantifying opportunities, answering inbound calls and customer service back-up as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Make follow-up outbound phone calls on member/attendee lists from: tradeshows, alliances, reps, associations, workshops/seminars
- Answer inbound (if necessary) and perform follow up outbound phone calls on small prospects from: tradeshows, alliances, reps, associations, workshops/seminars
- Close sales within defined parameters, such as number of employees…
- Offer gratis, do gratis review – and as a result of their efforts, enroll the client.
- Proactively contact inactive clients (3 or more years since last use)
- Send e-mail blasts to above coordinated with Marketing Assistant
- Service small book of personal business
- Provide customer service support/back-up as needed (see Client Advisor job description).
- Training/mentoring of new Omnia Employees as needed.
- Proof Profiles, write Profiles and enter Profile data as needed.
- Proofing of new Omnia forms, changes to web site, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Minimum 2 – 3 years experience in sales, business development or proactive service.
Must have strong ability in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Education: Bachelor’s degree with 2 to 3 years of experience or a combination of education and experience.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, and compute numbers.
Reasoning: Ability to understand and carry out instructions, both written and verbal as well as use independent judgment, creativity and initiative to solve problems and complete assigned tasks.
Other Skills and Abilities: Talented, innovative and hard working. Advanced self starter, requires little oversight and works well independently.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Employee is required to sit, talk and hear, use hands for keyboarding and the telephone. Is also required to walk and to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Position requires ability to see computer screen.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
