INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER: The Instructional Designer is responsible for the creation of degree and certificate courses from inception to completion, in conjunction with partner organizations. The ID manages multiple projects, with responsibilities including the following specific tasks: communicating with partner faculty, planning, organizing, and conducting video shoots, creating post-production media, building course elements and websites, and managing the flow of deliverables from department to department.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Some prior experience creating engaging, interactive multimedia WBT content, applying appropriate learning strategies
- Working knowledge of Instructional Design principles and best practices such as Bloom’s Taxonomy and adult learning principles
- Strong project management skills with the ability to document and communicate WBT project plan
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with design team, subject matter experts, IT developers, and production personnel
- Ability to provide graphical art/media direction
- Ability to work in teams and/or alone
- At least two years of direct ID experience
- Intermediate or advanced experience using Adobe Captivate, or equivalent day-to-day experience using a similar learning management software program
- Ability to occasionally travel overnight is required
Education Required:
- BS/A in Education, Communication, IT, or related field
- MS/A in Instructional Technology preferred
