RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Tampa, FL that is seeking an Inventory Accountant.
Responsibilities:
- The Inventory Accountant will prepare monthly inventory accounting and reporting; this includes journal entry preparation of finished goods inventory, raw material activity, and inventory costing; Emphasis is on balance sheet accounting
- Complete monthly inventory balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline for various entities to ensure that volumes and prices are accounted for correctly per GAAP
- Identify outstanding issues and ensure that unreconciled balances are promptly researched and resolved in a timely manner
- Support North American Shared Services Accounting areas as required, including but not limited to: revenue recognition, fixed assets, warehousing, and distribution
- The Inventory Accountant will prepare internal and external audit documentation and support
- Challenge current business processes and create innovative solutions
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with emphasis in accounting and/or finance
- 5+ years of experience in general accounting duties including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and financial analysis
- SAP experience preferred
- Advanced understanding of GAAP and internal controls with the ability to apply these principles in practice
- In-depth knowledge of sales and inventory accounting
- Demonstrated proficiency with MicroSoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) with advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
