Rita Technology Services, a leading Tampa, Florida based IT Search & Consultin firm has an immediate need for a ABAP Developer with Financial modules (FI) experience. This is a 3-6 month contract right-to-hire position. All work will be completed on-site in Tampa, FL.

We seek a seasoned ABAP Developer with a large portion of their experience in an enterprise IT setting. The ABAP Developer will work on multiple projects simultaneously at a high level of efficiency and quality in a timely manner. This role requires the individual to possess subject matter expertise in SAP functional modules and ABAP. The Developer is responsible for the analysis, design and development of the necessary requirements to support system development and implementation efforts. The ABAP Developer will work closely with Business System Analysts and Business Users to identify solutions for new business requirements and to support existing SAP interfaces and SAP custom programs. This position also requires experience in SAP Security and Basis.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Supporting Finance functionality in SAP ECC 6.0, both custom and standard delivered
* Supporting Finance related interface methods including RFC, IDOC, BDC, flat-file, XML
* Close collaboration with SAP Finance Functional resources and providing them with feasibility, analysis, estimates and informed guidance
* Support SAP IT functional teams and Basis team in patch and upgrade verification
* Support SAP Security and Basis team in upgrades, as needed
* Reading and understanding complex Functional specifications and business requirements
* Debugging custom and standard ABAP code
* SAP Workflow support
* Working independently to perform complex code analysis
* Designing, Documenting, Developing, and Unit Testing RICEF solutions
* Providing on-going production support for SAP application jobs, programs, reports, and interfaces, including on-call and call-out responsibilities
* Providing day-to-day break/fix support for ABAP programs, reports, function modules, classes and enhancements of all types
* Preparation and maintenance of technical specifications, support and unit test documentation
* Adhere to SAP development guidelines and standards (e.g. security, modularity, re-use, performance, testability)
* Responsible for full lifecycle development, delivering functionality on time, on budget and meeting business needs
* Creation and review of technical specifications with the functional teams; recommendations for improvement as required
* Working with the functional teams to develop functional unit test documentation and scenarios
* Evaluation of proposed design changes and specifications
Job Requirements:
* Possess excellent technical understanding of SAP with at least 5 to 7 years of experience in ABAP Development
* Must have “expert understanding” of SAP ECC 6.0 FI modules including GL/AR/AP/FA/ EBS
* In-depth knowledge of SAP design and development
* Experience with BADIs, IDOCS, user/field exits, LSMW/BDC development, dialog programming and reporting including standard and ALV reporting
* Must have experience with SAP Security and Basis (BPC, BW, BO and HANA)
* Experience with .net or mobile development is a plus
* In depth experience of the entire Software Development Life-cycle, delivering functionality on time, on budget and to meet business needs
* Good planning and organizational skills, including ability to engage with multiple development projects concurrently and work to tight deadlines
* Good team player with strong problem solving skills
* Experience authoring technical documentation
* Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
* Good understanding of structured project management techniques
