The Spice & Tea Exchange IT manager will play an essential part to the organization as a whole by streamlining the operations of the IT department and aligning those operations to the organization’s strategic objectives and goals. The IT manager will plan, coordinate, and direct all IT-related functions of the IT department.  This role will be cross functional with other departments to identify, analyze, recommend, develop, implement and support technology solutions for the entire organization as well as identify and create IT policies and procedures and best practices. 
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct IT departments operational planning while promoting innovation, planning projects, and organizing the allocation of resources.
  • Manage, deploy, monitor, maintain, develop, support and upgrade all IT systems.
  • Create and implement IT policies, procedures and best practices pertaining to the security, architecture, disaster recovery, standards and purchasing guidelines.
  • Analyze disseminate and make recommendations for growth and improvement opportunities of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
  • Oversee end user services such as providing technical support and help desk functionality.
  • Assist in the management of the financial aspects of the IT department including purchasing, budgeting, and the analyzing of the budget.
  • Collaborate with managing partners to identify system requirements for growth opportunities.
  • Create, analyze and implement business cases as well as cost/benefit comparisons for all IT initiatives.
  • Maintain regular and consistent communications with MP’s regarding all facets of the IT department.
  • Manage and correlate technical support to various forms of technology including: proprietary systems, Cloud based POS, Forecasting system, email server, Saas systems, internal and external network.
  • Comprehensive ability to efficiently and effectively manage, maintain and develop proprietary systems written in PHP/MySQL.

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Extensive experience in software system development including program management, testing and field introduction.
  • Strong and current technical knowledge
  • Extensive support experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of project management principals
  • Basic understanding of essential HR principals
  • Stellar leadership skills
  • Detail oriented with solid time management skills
  • Well proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development
  • Well versed in Linux Server Administration, PHP programing, CSS Design, MySQL or other SQL, HTTP/SOAP
  • Experience in E-commerce systems and QuickBooks are a plus
