Job Description:

  • Submits and monitors the production batch processing utilizing production scheduling software.
  • Receives and executes data processing requests, i.e., reschedules production jobs, submits one time jobs and monitors production schedules using Tivoli TWS scheduler.
  • Identifies, researches and corrects production abends.
  • Enters and updates problems/requests into the CA Service Desk problem management database.
  • Analyzes and distributes recorded problem/requests daily to ensure accountability and problem resolution.
  • Prepares daily reports on production schedule problems by application.
  • Analyzes and executes requests to add/modify production processing to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Communicates with customers when problems jeopardize schedule completion.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 years experience in computer operations, specializing in production control.
  • 2 years experience working with the following products and applications: JCL, Tivoli TWS, CA11, ISPF and CLIST.
  • Ability to work overtime weekends and holidays.

POSITION PREFERENCES: Unix, Computer Operations and PC software experience.

HOURS: Rotating shift 9:45pm – 8:00am Wed.,Thur., Fri., Sat. or Wed., Thurs.,Fri.
