POSITION SUMMARY:
The IT Project Manager will oversee the deployment of vendor-purchased software and technology solutions across the organization, ensuring that new systems meet enterprise standards, user needs, and long-term operational requirements. This role will coordinate closely with vendors, internal technology teams, operations staff, and the IT Support team to ensure smooth, standardized deployment, training, and support. The ideal candidate will have experience in enterprise software deployment, cross-functional collaboration, and vendor management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead deployment projects for vendor-purchased software, ensuring systems are installed, configured, and launched according to specifications and enterprise standards
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, coordinating with vendors to resolve any issues during implementation
- Collaborate with internal sourcing and purchasing teams to align on technology procurement requirements and delivery schedules
- Work with the Operations team to ensure that all deployed technology meets their needs and provides the necessary functionality for day-to-day use
- Liaise with the IT Support team to ensure smooth hand-off, creating detailed documentation and providing training as needed to support ongoing maintenance
- Develop and enforce deployment standards across all venues to ensure consistency in technology implementation and functionality
- Create and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users and support teams, ensuring they are equipped to operate and maintain the new technology
- Track user feedback and adjust training or deployment strategies to improve future rollouts
- Oversee the implementation of technology infrastructure for new venues and upgrades for existing locations, ensuring that all systems align with enterprise standards
- Coordinate with both internal stakeholders and external vendors to complete installations within established timelines and budgets
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert in SmartSheet project management software. Provide training to new hires on SmartSheet best practices
- Maintain project documentation, including timelines, budgets, scope, training resources, and deployment standards
- Conduct post-deployment reviews to evaluate project success and identify areas for improvement
- All other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on software deployment and vendor coordination.
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams and coordinating with external vendors.
- Strong understanding of enterprise software deployment and technology standards.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira) and familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) principles.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile certification, SmartSheet Project Management certification.
- Experience in a multi-venue organization, such as hospitality, retail, or sports facilities.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure, including network, hardware, and software components.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Simple hand grasping and fine hand manipulation
- Will be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time operating a computer
- Limited exposure to physical risk
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. infrequently
- Bend, stoop, crouch, climb, stand, sit and turn/pivot
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment
