This is part-time janitorial which will require working at least one weekend day shift. Looking for someone who is a self starter and can work independently.
Job Responsibilities
Perform duties to maintain the cleanliness of assigned building(s) and areas, working within the limits of prescribed routines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Work from instructions and complete daily work orders and required forms.
- Monitor the cleanliness of assigned areas. Perform a variety of cleaning/maintenance duties including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, trash removal and disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning. Handle emergency cleanings as need.
- Clean restrooms. Clean toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors & counters and sweep and mop floors. Replenish all supplies and refill all dispensers such as hand towels, toilet paper & hand soap. Empty and remove trash.
- Furnish and burnish floors as required.
- Inspect all assigned areas daily and report all cleaning and maintenance discrepancies or deficiencies to Supervisor. Maintain the appropriate level of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas and communicate to supervisor needed supplies.
- Maintain assigned equipment in good working condition and maintain all cleaning solutions in accordance to OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals.
- Building and maintenance projects including but not limited to: painting walls, setting up dry wall, pressure cleaning, basic AC filter replacement, basic electrical changes, basic plumbing, and other tasks as need, when instructed by Facilities Manager.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
- Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards.
- Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
- Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
- May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
- Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
- Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
No supervisory responsibilities.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalency preferred. Previous custodial experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies

- Ability to utilize cleaning equipment and follow safety procedures.

Tools & Equipment Used
Use mops, cleaning solutions, water and foam hoses, scrub pads, brushes, brooms, hand tools, and personal protective equipment as required.
Physical Requirements / Working Environment
This position works under indoor and outdoor conditions and exposed to elements including but not limited to, chemicals, odor, weather and environment conditions. The employee must be able to work in an upright standing position for long periods of time, and must be able to sit, walk, crawl, climb, reach with hands and arms and lift up to 50 lbs. the incumbent must be able to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions.
