Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an energetic, friendly, responsible and dedicated full-time associate to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess the following:

Duties
This position will have the following responsibility:
- Drafting documents, pleadings, emails, motions, memos, and orders;
- Scheduling hearings, trials, mediations, and consultations;
- Answering the telephone when the receptionist is busy or unavailable;
- Communicating with clients in person, by phone, and by email;
- Accepting payments from clients using law office management software;
- Reviewing bills to clients;
- Prioritizing work to ensure 30-35 hours per week result in revenue to the firm (billable hours);
- Working in law office management software to document and organize client files;
- Keeping a clean and organized workspace;
- Assisting attorneys with trial and hearing preparation;
- Drafting affidavits, pre-trial memos; and
- Managing a pipeline of over 100 cases and knowing what comes next in each case;
Working Hours
The standard office hours are 8:30 – 5:30 but this position will be asked to work late as necessary when the needs of the business require. We respect work life balance but also take seriously our commitment to our clients, and expect every team member to help meet client needs. We frequently work late and the candidate should expect a normal work week to be about 50 hours.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
- Experience with HOVER, JAWS, and E-Filing portal;
- Experience with financial affidavits;
- Experience with trial notebooks;
- General knowledge of family law including Dissolution, Paternity, Adoption, Child Support, Relocation, and contempt.
- Experience using practice management software;
- Experience working in a billable hours environment;
