Junior Project ManagerJob Function:

The Junior Project Manager will be responsible for the supervision and management of subcontractors, vendors and punch-out staff utilized while the construction process.

Junior Project Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Daily Logs Collection: Supervises the activities of any punch-out staff and laborers hired for the completion of the project, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of project activities, incidents, and progress.
  • Prepare reports on the project.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Completes a review of all construction plans and contract scopes that are associated with the project to which he/she is assigned. Ensures subcontractors under his/her supervisory scope are completing their work in accordance with plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Choose the types of tools to use in the construction and track the inventory of those tools.
  • Project Scheduling and Management: Communicates to the Operation Manager the appropriate information required to maintain job schedule updates on a weekly basis.
  • Budget Supervision: Reviews and processes with the Operation Manager subcontractor/vendor pay requests and payments in accordance with the processes and timeframes as outlined by accounting.
  • Quality Control and Compliance: Coordinates material deliveries and distribution on site and in buildings. Ensures that all materials directly purchased are verified for compliance and completeness of order as they are received in the field.
  • Punch List Completion: Ensures that building completions including the building interior and exterior punch-list inspections are performed according to schedule, and that all punch work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Builder trend proficiency: Utilize Builder trend software to its fullest potential, enhancing project management processes, improving communication among team members, and streamlining workflow.
  • Keep daily employee logs and monitor the conduct of each one of them.
  • Ensure that the construction project complies with all safety and building regulations.
  • Establish risk factors, then manage and mitigate them to ensure the construction goes on smoothly.
  • Liaise with local authorities to obtain licenses and permits for the project.

Junior Project Manager Requirements:

  • Education and/or Experience: College degree and/or a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in construction management preferred. Computer experience in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project and other business-related software is desirable.

· Knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and legal regulations.

· Advanced proficiency in Builder TREND or similar construction management software.

  • Ability to read, write and analyze various construction-related documents including plans, contracts, and schedules.
  • Ability to communicate with and assist the Operation Manager, Project Manager and Property Management groups during the completion of the project.
  • Experience in managing a diverse workforce including subcontractors, vendors, and employees.
  • Ability to manage conflict, maintain schedules and drive business results by managing the performance of the workforce.

· Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.

· Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
