Marathon Building Services, the fastest-growing, tech-driven restoration company in the DMV, has an open Project Manager’s position with a focus in Mold Remediation and Flood Restoration.

The Junior Project Manager will work with owners and sub-contractors on construction sites, commercial, and residential buildings when mold or water damage occurs to clean up and repair damage to the site. As a PM, you will manage subcontractors performing the work and the budget for this project. This means you will spend a good deal of time in the field to see your projects get crews set up and make sure the job is running smoothly. Scope, manage, and deliver quality results to general contractors on construction sites as well as residential and commercial property owners experiencing water and mold damage or construction cleaning. As a front-line employee you will interact with owners, property adjusters, property managers, and trades people.

Ideal candidates will have 2-5+ years’ direct experience in project management and must be able to demonstrate their skill in dealing with estimating, managing cleaning crews and managing the mitigation and reconstruction of commercial and residential insurance loss properties damaged by water and mold.

Working with our team to complete final cleaning and restoration construction projects the Junior Project Manager must have solid estimating skills, construction knowledge and great customer service skills. Successful PM’s have incredible attention to detail, solid “people skills” to manage complex situations, thrive in fast paced but satisfying job environments and possess an income driven mentality with sales minded personality.

Job Duties

  • Develop, build and maintain solid business relationships with Customers, Property Managers, Insurance Adjusters and General Contractors.
  • Serve as primary liaison between the customer, our internal resources and insurance carrier
  • Manage all projects, resources and participants from start to finish while maintaining profitability
  • Translate all project estimates into Procore
  • Maintain budget, job timeline and explore options to insure its timely completion
  • Participate in all team meetings, events, and client outings
  • Assess and write estimates for water losses and mold damage utilizing Procore software.
  • Build and lead teams to deliver superior customer service. Promote accountability, positive work ethic and resolve any conflicts among the team and participants on their Project
  • Coordinate daily work scope for technicians, delegating key tasks and reporting responsibilities.
  • Ensure that all employees perform their job duties in a safe manner. Insure that they take all reasonable precautions to avoid work related accidents
  • Read “Measure What Matters”, “Good to Great” and “Beyond Entrepreneurship 2.0” within first 90 days

Qualifications:

  • Must have 1-3+ years Project Management experience
  • Must have construction background
  • Must display poise, tact and professionalism while problem solving and decision making
  • Must possess excellent written, verbal and customer service skills
  • Must be able to skillfully and accurately estimate value of a project
  • Bi-lingual (spanish) is preferred
  • Must be able to skillfully use Windows and Microsoft Office software.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs of items related to construction debris
  • Demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Must be age 21 or older
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends if needed; (some holidays)
  • Eligible to work in the USA
  • Candidates will be required to pass DMV record check to facilitate business vehicle insurability
  • Must have reliable transportation and a stable work history

Education, Certification(s) and Equivalent Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • Associate Degree in a related technical or business field
  • High School Diploma with 3+ Years of Project Management Experience

Desired Certifications:

  • IICRC WRT
  • IICRC Trauma/Crime Cleanup
  • ACAC Certified Indoor Environmentalist
  • DC Licensed Mold Remediator
  • DC Licensed Mold Assessor

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
