Overview
Lantower Residential is growing and currently hiring for a Land Acquisition Manager who will play an important role in managing aspects of the multifamily land acquisition life cycle. The position will report to the Director of Investments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a direct impact on the development of the business and be an integral member of the team.
Responsibilities
- Locates and assists the acquisition of land for development
- Develops and maintains property contact list
- Establishes landowner contacts through continued research and networking
- Assists in preparation of development proposals and participation in presentation for approval
- Contributes to the preparation of feasibility studies and presentation packages for target properties
- Assists in creating LOI’s for target properties
- Coordinate with third party consultants when necessary (legal, A&E, brokers, etc.)
- Experience in holding meetings with prospective sellers/landowners
- Experience reviewing reports related to the feasibility and due diligence process
- Assist in preparing presentations for all zoning, governmental, and other presentations required for development approval
- Development project process assistance, when needed
- Assist with ad hoc projects as requested and perform additional tasks as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field is required
- 4+ years’ experience in successful land acquisition, planning, zoning, law, contract negotiations and terms agreement
- Experience and knowledge of multifamily real estate development preferred
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Project
- A strong analytical thought process with sound judgement and a keen attention to detail
- Ability to be a self-started and work effectively in a small team and contribute to areas beyond the direct scope of responsibility
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management skills, results-driven, with ability to manage multiple deadlines
