Forestar Group Inc. is a residential lot development company and a majority-owned subsidiary of D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder by volume in the United States since 2002.
Forestar Group is currently looking for a Land Development Administrator. The right candidate will assist development operation teams providing support for the acquisition, development and lot closing process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Provide general clerical assistance and assist with maintaining files and databases

  • Prepare presentations, special reports, memorandums, proposals and correspondence as needed
  • Organize and maintain land/lot contracts from feasibility through closing
  • Facilitate the process for contact executions and distribution to necessary parties
  • Facilitate the process for plat and permit executions
  • Maintain status/critical date reports to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Compile, maintain and run reports as requested
  • Work on projects as delegated to assist with duties such as title review, escrow responsibilities, HOA set up, review of environmental studies, market studies, surveys, etc.
  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Organize and maintain daily correspondence as needed
  • Assist with office equipment and supplies to ensure that the team operates efficiently
  • Available to assist scheduling appointments and meetings as needed
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to five years of related experience and/or training

  • Two to five years related experience in real estate development and/or acquisitions
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via Forestar applications
  • Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision
  • The noise level is generally moderate
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with contract administration a plus
