The Land and Urban Planning studio has the charter to develop unique planning strategies that best articulate, preserve and realize the greatest potential for the land and built environment for each of our seven global destination resorts.
As part of this charter, we are seeking a collaborative planner to support our real-estate planning efforts.
Responsibilities
- Design, promote and administer master plans affecting land use, environmental, commercial facilities, housing, and transportation
- Create, prepare, or requisition graphic and narrative site plans on land use data, including land area maps overlaid with site variables such as aerials and existing/future development parcels
- Produce multiple iterative options of site plans for proposed design program
- Determine the effects of regulatory limitations on projects
- Assess the feasibility of proposals and identify necessary changes
- Advise planning team on project feasibility, cost-effectiveness, regulatory conformance, and possible alternatives
- Discuss with planning and project teams the purpose of land use projects such as transportation, conservation, residential, commercial, industrial, and community use
- Coordinate work with consultants, designers and business partners during the formulation of plans and the design of real-estate projects
- Review and evaluate environmental impact reports pertaining to site specific planning projects
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in developing and laying out site plans and concepts of real-estate projects including commercial, retail and residential
- Demonstrated planning and design experience with urban, architectural, landscape and infrastructure projects
- Advanced design drawing capabilities, in both digital (CAD/Digital Graphics) and analog (hand drawn sketches/plans) mediums
- Advanced knowledge of CAD software, including AutoCAD and MicroStation
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator and other graphic communication software
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally, written and informal speech/presentation settings with peers and senior leaders
- Ability to establish direction and direct execution of work for self and partners
- Ability to think at a high level and execute at a tactical level

Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced graduate degree in a related specialized field
- Advanced knowledge and competence in the use of ESRI GIS software
- Continued education and advanced studies in computer graphic design and/or GIS (Geographic Information Systems)
Required Education
- Professional degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning or related planning degree from an accredited program
- Architect’s license or other professional planning credentials
