CBRE is now hiring Learning & Development Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Focusing on corporate initiatives, designs and manages curriculum and programs consistent with the company’s overall Learning and Development strategy
- Employs ADDIE methodology and applies adult learning theory to ensure effective outcomes through a variety of delivery methods
- Assists in translating company strategies into actionable training initiatives, plans and tactics
- Develops curriculum and updates existing curriculum
- Identifies and coordinates work of subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop content and design education exercises
- Recommends appropriate delivery methods to optimize knowledge transfer
- Assesses third-party training programs for applicable use in overall curriculum
- Integrates external training resources into curriculum and program design
- Develops sound relationships with business leaders, managers, consultants and trainers
- Develops creative content with a senior presentation personality that engages the audience
- Design curriculum to meet all lines of business in the company and synthesize the presentations
- Be part of the leadership team conducting the Learning and Development programs at the corporate university
- Responsible for the continuing educational programs with visibility of the corporate needs for learning and development
- Bridge the gap between content development and content abstraction
- Performs other duties as assigned
- No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position
- Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers
- May lead project teams and/or plan, and supervise assignments of lower level employees
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A four-year degree from a college or university program is required plus a minimum of 5 years experience in learning and development related responsibilities, such as needs assessments, program design, and curriculum development
- Real estate industry experience preferred. Post graduate degree preferred
- This position may be located in Dallas, TX, Chicago, IL, or El Segundo, CA
- Experience facilitating, designing and implementing learning & development programs for large corporations
- Possess strong project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers
- Ability to effectively present information
- Ability to work with, develop and present training initiatives to corporate heads
- Ability to provide excellent internal and external customer service
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Requires solid knowledge of financial terms and principles
- Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents
- Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations
- Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient in course development software tools such as Adobe Acrobat, Captivate, Snagit, etc.
- Knowledge of adult learning theory (ADDIE)
- Ability to learn and become proficient in use of company’s Learning Management System (LMS)
- Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines
- Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines
- Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department
