RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Focusing on corporate initiatives, designs and manages curriculum and programs consistent with the company’s overall Learning and Development strategy
  • Employs ADDIE methodology and applies adult learning theory to ensure effective outcomes through a variety of delivery methods
  • Assists in translating company strategies into actionable training initiatives, plans and tactics
  • Develops curriculum and updates existing curriculum
  • Identifies and coordinates work of subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop content and design education exercises
  • Recommends appropriate delivery methods to optimize knowledge transfer
  • Assesses third-party training programs for applicable use in overall curriculum
  • Integrates external training resources into curriculum and program design
  • Develops sound relationships with business leaders, managers, consultants and trainers
  • Develops creative content with a senior presentation personality that engages the audience
  • Design curriculum to meet all lines of business in the company and synthesize the presentations
  • Be part of the leadership team conducting the Learning and Development programs at the corporate university
  • Responsible for the continuing educational programs with visibility of the corporate needs for learning and development
  • Bridge the gap between content development and content abstraction
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position
  • Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers
  • May lead project teams and/or plan, and supervise assignments of lower level employees

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A four-year degree from a college or university program is required plus a minimum of 5 years experience in learning and development related responsibilities, such as needs assessments, program design, and curriculum development
  • Real estate industry experience preferred. Post graduate degree preferred
  • This position may be located in Dallas, TX, Chicago, IL, or El Segundo, CA
  • Experience facilitating, designing and implementing learning & development programs for large corporations
  • Possess strong project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers
  • Ability to effectively present information
  • Ability to work with, develop and present training initiatives to corporate heads
  • Ability to provide excellent internal and external customer service
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Requires solid knowledge of financial terms and principles
  • Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents
  • Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations
  • Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient in course development software tools such as Adobe Acrobat, Captivate, Snagit, etc.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory (ADDIE)
  • Ability to learn and become proficient in use of company’s Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines
  • Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines
  • Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department
