Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Sr Lease Administrator, the Lease Administrator is responsible for reviewing and analyzing all new and amended leases to ensure correct charge schedules and appropriate recoveries are setup in accounting software. The individual must have the ability to conduct investigations on accounts or transactions of an unusual nature or concern, provide feedback and recommendations on findings. The individual must also have the ability to work with individuals across the organization to gather necessary information, as well as assisting with departmental projects and tasks as needed.
  • Oversee, along with Jr Lease Administrator, proper accounting and payment of Rent, CAM, Real Estate Taxes, and any other additional rental charges
  • Responsible for monthly rent reconciliations, including landlord invoice billing/statement review, coding, reconciliation to lease agreements, and processing related check requests
  • Preparation of percentage rent calculations and CPI escalations
  • Review and reconciliation of monthly and annual CAM reconciliations
  • Assist with weekly Aging Receivable reports for management
  • Handle inquiries from Property Management and Asset Management
  • Work closely with other members of the team to ensure that all appropriate procedures are followed, reviews are completed timely, and all deliverables are prepared in a professional manner
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures in related area as required
  • Participate in special projects as requested by management
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses and reporting and special projects assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or a combination of accounting or finance education and experience. A minimum of 1-3 years in commercial lease administration is desired.
Preferred Skills
The Lease Administrator should have excellent computer (Excel and Word) skills; exceptional analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills, must be able to multi-task, and must communicate well with team members.
