Franklin Street is currently seeking an experienced Lease Administrator for the Property Management Accounting team. .
Requirements:
The Lease Administrator is responsible for accurately administering lease documents. Duties will include abstracting leases, tracking of key dates, billing and analysis of expenses to achieve the objectives of the property owner and Franklin Street.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Abstract and audit new commercial leases into the Yardi accounting system according to internal procedures
- Enter and manage all lease notes, maintaining critical dates
- Follow up, as required to ensure asset and property management and leasing are aware of any approaching option dates or required actions (termination options, first right of refusal, etc.)
- Create and maintain system of tracking expiration dates of leases
- Tracking of all changes or adjustments necessary to lease documents received (amendments, addendums etc.)
- Work with property management to ensure certificates of insurance are current and correct
- Review and audit rent rolls to ensure it is correct
- Participate in due diligence process as it relates to acquisitions or dispositions
- Manage security deposits and letters of credit
- Ensure lease compliance
- Assist on special projects or assignments
- Deliver monthly rent statements to tenants
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must have ability to interpret and administer complex lease documents
- High level of proficiency in computer skills including MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and internet / application software is required along with a willingness and ability to learn new software programs
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow-direction and work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to query, manage, comprehend and provide analysis for large data sets and complex business documents, leases, etc. required
- Strong work ethic and the ability to hit set deadlines
- Ability to work on multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment
Educational and Technical Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in accounting, business, finance, or related field from a regionally accredited college or university
- 3-5 years of applicable general lease administration experience required in a commercial real estate firm
- Yardi property management software proficiency preferred
