Lease Administrator – Req. 1900059

Job Summary:
Provides lease administration support to the Corporate Real Estate department by utilizing the lease management database system to track and report pertinent real lease and property information, including but not limited to expenses, options, key dates, and space usage for Raymond James Corporate real estate portfolio of more than 3 million square feet. Works cross functionally with various departments within the organization and provides lease information to the department in making informed real estate decisions.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepares accurate and detailed lease abstracts using existing lease management database.
  • Maintains file systems, including the data integrity of information contained in the lease management database system to track all Tenant and Lease related data. Maintains and updates critical dates and lease clause issues.
  • Assists with the preparation of various lease reports for the senior management team.
  • Tracks, maintains and communicates lease expiration dates, options exercise dates, renewal/nonrenewal deadlines, termination dates and other critical information and key dates.
  • Calculates lease terms.
  • Drafts lease option renewals and declines.
  • Prepares necessary correspondence to accompany legal documents.
  • Researches lease related issues and assist with special projects.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:

 

  • Fundamental concepts of real estate law, principles and practices.
  • Basic knowledge of financial controls and accounting principles.

 

Skill in:

 

  • Organizational and time management skills sufficient to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Operating standard office equipment and proficient in using Microsoft Office Suites software applications.

 

Ability to:

 

  • Build solid, effective working relationships with other functional areas to accomplish objectives.
  • Execute instructions and request clarification when necessary.
  • Convey information accurately, clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents.
  • Attention to detail while maintaining a big picture orientation.

 

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in lease or property management.
  • Associate’s Degree is preferred.
  • Experience with utilizing the CoStar lease management software is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

None required.
