The Leasing Agent is responsible for serving as the primary point of contact for prospective and future tenants.
Responsibilities –
- Fields and responds to leasing inquiries from prospective tenants
- Works to persuasively present information to prospects on housing properties to create applications
- Negotiates lease offers
- Executes and explains leases and related documents to future tenants
- Performs leasing activities in accordance with applicable laws to maximize housing occupancy
- Works with underwriting and leasing writing teams to channel applicants through the leasing process
- Maintains up to date knowledge of company policies and procedures
- Required Skills
- Requirements –
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Intermediate PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office
- State Real Estate License
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
- Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, planning and analysis skills
- Strong relationship management, organizing and customer service skills
- Must be able to meet multiple deadlines
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
- Must be able to implement process improvement changes
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be able to pay close attention to details
- Must be able to adapt and flex to a changing environment
